Welcome to Creative Chameleons After School Club – a space where creativity, imagination, and confidence flourish every day! A place where childcare meets thoughtfully considered art and crafts activities.

We are Ofsted registered and fully dedicated to building a lively community where children not only thrive but also discover the power of creativity, self-expression, and belonging. Our arts and crafts club goes beyond skill development, fostering problem-solving skills and instilling confidence in every child. Rooted in the belief that small acts of truth and kindness can lead to significant changes in the world, we celebrate individuality, providing each child with an opportunity to explore, grow, and revel in the joy of imaginative activities.

These sessions are led by Alessia and Gina who have Level 3 childcare qualifications in the early years, Art and Design Teacher’s certificate and together hold over 20 years experience in the fashion, art and design fields.

Children will learn a variety of techniques and materials are used including drawings & painting, textiles, collage, weaving, font design, and many more. Our program ensures all activities are engaging / incorporates Viktor Lowenfeld's Stages of Artistic Development, providing age-appropriate activities that nurture children's creativity at every stage, fostering a fun learning environment for everyone.

    Me & My World

    We will be taking each child through their own artistic journey by each creating personalised records.

    Through creative exploration, children develop self-assurance and a positive sense of self. They'll uncover their likes/dislikes and individual quirks, laying the groundwork for their identity and introduction to our club.

    This program allows children to explore their creativity and express themselves through art while delving into the theme of their own unique world.

    Join us as we dive into the theme of each child's unique world, allowing creativity to flourish and individuality to shine!

  • 2nd Half/Term 1

    7 weeks/ based on 1 day a week - £133

    A Time Travelers’ Journey

    In our imaginative arts and crafts sessions, children will journey through various time periods, discovering the artistry and techniques of each era.

    They'll create masterpieces inspired by ancient civilizations and time periods. Along the way, they'll learn about historical events, cultural traditions, and explore various artistic expression.

    But the adventure doesn't stop there! We'll also travel to the present day and beyond, envisioning the art and culture of the future.

    Through a variety of media children will unleash their creativity to craft artifacts from different timelines. Join us as we embark on this exciting journey through time and imagination!

  • 1st Half/Term 2

    6 weeks/ based on 1 day a week - £114

    Waterscapes

    We will engage children in the captivating world of water. They'll explore its sensory wonders, from its soothing texture to its rhythmic movement. Through hands-on activities, we'll engage their senses, encouraging them to touch, observe, and listen.

    We'll guide the children through sensory explorations, painting techniques, and colour recognition exercises, fostering a journey of discovery and learning. We'll also delve into the diversity of natural water bodies, from oceans and rivers to lakes and ponds, and explore the fascinating water cycle.

    Older children will delve deeper into artistic concepts, such as colour theory, light and shadow, and texture. We'll provide opportunities for them to expand their skills and creativity while exploring the dynamic nature of water.

  • 2nd Half/Term 2

    6 weeks/ based on 1 day a week - £114

    Galactic Gateway

    This exciting program allows and encourages children to think beyond the ordinary and imagine fantastical creatures, spaceships, and alien worlds. Designing and creating these elements allows them to express their unique ideas and explore their creativity freely.

    We will engage the children to follow instructions as we build using various stages and materials to completing projects. This will strengthen their listening skills and develop their ability to follow directions, an important skill in various learning environments.

    Completing their own unique "Galactic Gateway" creations will give them a sense of accomplishment and boost their self-confidence. It also allows them to express themselves creatively and showcase their artistic abilities!

  • 1st Half/ Term 3

    5 weeks / based on 1 day a week - £95

    Cultural Kaleidoscope

    We will embark on a vibrant journey through diverse cultures, exploring their rich artistic heritage. Children will immerse themselves in a kaleidoscope of colours, patterns, and symbols that define different societies.

    We will delve into traditional art forms from around the world, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and textiles. Children will have the opportunity to create their own masterpieces inspired by these cultural influences. They will experiment with various techniques and materials, such as brushwork, collage, and mixed media.

    Through art projects, we will explore the cultural significance of colour, shape, and line. Children will learn about the symbolism behind different colours and patterns in various cultures. They will also discover the stories and emotions conveyed through art, and how artists use their work to express cultural identity and values.

  • 2nd Half/ Term 3

    7 weeks / based on 1 day a week - £133

    Mythical Greece

    We will venture into the world of Greek Mythology, exploring tales of gods, heroes, and mythical creatures. We will unleash our creativity through a variety of artistic projects inspired by these legendary stories.

    Through these hands-on experiences, we will not only learn about the rich history and cultural significance of Greek Mythology but also develop our artistic skills, storytelling abilities, and critical thinking. We will discover the power of imagination and the enduring magic of these ancient tales.
