Welcome to Creative Chameleons After School Club – a space where creativity, imagination, and confidence flourish every day! A place where childcare meets thoughtfully considered art and crafts activities.

we are dedicated to building a lively community where children not only thrive but also discover the power of creativity, self-expression, and belonging. Our arts and crafts club goes beyond skill development, fostering problem-solving skills and instilling confidence in every child. Rooted in the belief that small acts of truth and kindness can lead to significant changes in the world, we celebrate individuality, providing each child with an opportunity to explore, grow, and revel in the joy of imaginative activities.

These sessions are run by Alessia and Gina who has Art and Design Teacher’s certificate and been in the Art and Design industry for over 15 years. Children will learn a variety of techniques and materials are used including drawings & painting, textiles, collage, weaving, font design, and many more. Our program ensures all activities are engaging / incorporates Viktor Lowenfeld's Stages of Artistic Development, providing age-appropriate activities that nurture children's creativity at every stage, fostering a fun learning environment for everyone.

We are committed to offering a safe and inspiring environment, our mission is to empower the next generation and cultivate a love for creativity that lasts a lifetime. Join us on this exciting journey where every stroke of a paintbrush becomes a step toward a brighter, more creative future!

Session start from 3.15pm until 5.30pm / £18.50 per session(2hrs and 15minutes session) / Payment will be requested in advance of the term starting.

    Theme : Me and Myworld

    -Creating a personalised record of their artistic Journey -

    In their early years, children are establishing their sense of self. By focusing on their interests and what makes them special, the club helps to build a Sense of Self-Discovery and confidence.

    As children explore their creativity, and individuality, they'll develop confidence and a positive sense of self. They'll learn more about themselves, their likes, and dislikes, fostering a strong foundation for their identity.

    This program allows children to explore their creativity and express themselves through art while delving into the theme of their own unique world.

  • Term 2

    Monday 4th November 2024 - Friday 20th December 2024

    (7 weeks)

    Theme : Time Traveler’s journey

    Explore the concept of time travel and its various possibilities.

    Each session can focus on a different historical period or future scenario. Engage in historical crafts, futuristic art projects, and storytelling adventures. Learn about significant historical events and imagine what the future might hold.

  • Term 3

    Monday 6th January 2025 – Friday 14th February 2025

    (6 weeks)

    Theme : Waterscapes

    Water is naturally captivating for young children. They love the feel, sound, and movement of water. These activities encourage them to explore these sensory aspects through touch, sight, and sound.

    Young children love water and exploring its properties, the children engaging deas with sensory explorations, painting techniques, colour recognition and mixing, focus and concentration.

    Older children are building on their foundational knowledge, waterscapes allow them to explore concepts like colour theory, light and shadow, texture and form.

    Waterscapes are open-ended, we encourage children to think outside the box and express themselves creatively and find solutions.

  • Term 4 : Galactic Gateway

    Monday 24th February 2025 - Friday 4th April 2025

    (6 weeks)

    This program encourages children to think beyond the ordinary and imagine fantastical creatures, spaceships, and alien worlds. Designing and creating these elements allows them to express their unique ideas and explore their creativity freely.

    The activities will likely involve following the instructions on using materials and completing projects. This helps them develop listening skills and the ability to follow directions, which is important in various learning environments.

    Completing their own unique "Galactic Gateway" creations gives them a sense of accomplishment and boosts their confidence. It also allows them to express themselves creatively and showcase their artistic abilities.

  • Term 5 : Jungle Jewels

    Tuesday 22nd April 2025 – Friday 23rd May 2025

    (5 weeks)

    This theme naturally leans towards vibrant colours.

    Jungles are known for their diverse animal and plant life. The theme can encourage children to learn about this diversity and appreciate the variety of life forms on Earth. Discuss the importance of rainforests for our planet and how we can protect them. Encourage children to use recycled materials in their crafts to promote sustainability.

    Activities can focus on colour mixing, matching, and using a wide range of colours to represent the rich visual tapestry of a jungle and the fiery glow of a volcano.

  • Term 6 : Mythical creatures

    Monday 2nd June 2025 - Tuesday 22nd July 2025

    (7 weeks)

    This theme allows children to explore a world beyond reality, designing and creating fantastical creatures from myths and legends.

    Children can learn how myths and legends are preserved through art and storytelling, Highlights the power of storytelling and the visual arts.

    Encourage research and exploration of different myths and legends related to mythical creatures.

    Provide a variety of materials and let children use their creativity to express their interpretations of these fantastical beings.
